The outlook for 2020 from an economic and financial perspective
A lot has happened since the start of 2020, so much even the most skilled author would have struggled to come up with a similar storyline. At the end of 2019, we finally got some clarity on the Brexit process and the UK’s effort to secure global free trade agreements could finally begin to be ramped up. Then Covid-19 emerged and what initially was thought to be a Chinese centred-concern rapidly spiralled into the global pandemic we are all contending with today, and which consequently has caused an unprecedented shock to the global economy.
You are invited to join us for an economic and financial overview of 2020 in light of recent events. We are pleased to be joined by a strong line up from Danske Bank’s global research teams who will share their views and outlook for the economy and financial markets in the UK, and globally, and answer questions from you, the audience.
